About Us
Why do we exist?
Our mission is to introduce people to Christ and empower them to live fruitful lives through the Word of God.
We aim to teach the word in a radically practical way that is life transforming.
CORE VALUES
CHRIST: We believe that Christ is our foundation and His Word is the final authority.
CONNECTION
We will connect with believers in person and online. Connect the lost to Christ. Strengthen family connections.
REFLECTION
As believers, our lives should reflect what the Bible says about us; lives that please God, discipleship, wholeness in relationships, and abundant life.
CREATIVITY
Recognizing God as the ultimate Creator, we embrace our inherent creativity, using it to glorify God.
CONTRIBUTION
God is our source. We will be generous in giving, missions, help to widows and orphans, and other under-resourced communities.
We believe in God as the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit. They are all one God and are joined together into what we call the Trinity. These three are coequal and are one God. (Col. 1:16-17, Ps. 104:1–35; 139:1–24; Mt. 10:29–31; 28:19; Acts 17:24–28; 2 Cor. 13:14)
He is coequal with the Father and Holy Spirit. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on the cross. He rose from the dead after three days to demonstrate His power over sin and death. He ascended to Heaven and will return again someday to Earth to reign as King. (Mt. 1:18–25; Jn. 1:1–18; Rom. 8:34; 1 Cor. 15:1– 28; 2 Cor. 5:21; Gal. 3:10–14; Eph. 1:7; Phil. 2:6–11; Col. 1:15–23)
He provides the Christian with the power to live out the character of Christ, do what is right, and understand spiritual truth. As Christians, we seek to live under His control daily. (Mt. 3:11; Jn. 1:12–13; 3:1–15; Acts 4:29–30; Rom. 8:9; 12:3–8; 1 Cor. 12:12– 13; 2 Cor. 1:21–22; Gal. 3:1–5; Eph. 1:13–14; 5:18
The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors, under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. Inspired by God, it is the supreme source of truth for Christian beliefs about God’s principles and standards for living. It is truth without error. (Mt. 5:18; Jn. 10:35; 17:17; 2 Tim. 3:16–17; 2 Pet. 1:20–21)
We are made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. Although every person has potential for good, we are now, because of the fall, spiritually disconnected from God. All of us are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called “sin.” Because we are born in sin, we are separated from God and must accept Jesus as our Savior. (Gen. 1:1–3:22; Ps. 51:5; Isa. 53:5; Rom. 3:9–18; 5:12–21; Eph. 2:1–3)
We can never make up for our sin by self-improvement or good works. Only by trusting in Jesus Christ as God’s offer of forgiveness through grace can anyone be saved from sin’s penalty. When we turn from our self-ruled life and turn to Jesus in faith we are saved. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into their life by faith.
We believe that God accepts people as they are but loves them enough to not let them stay there. We all struggle with sin and are a work in progress so we seek to minister to those who fall short of God’s standards with love, compassion, and dignity. (Rom. 3:23; Rom 6:23; Rom. 10:9-10)
We believe a sexual relationship is only appropriate in a monogamous, heterosexual marriage covenant, and therefore should only be practiced in such a covenant. We believe that any sexual practice outside of the previously described marriage covenant is sin. We will teach and uphold God's marriage design as found in the Scriptures. (Gen. 1:27, Heb. 13:4, I Cor. 7:35, Matt. 19:4-6)
People were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin or eternally with God through forgiveness and salvation. To be eternally separated from God is eternal life in hell. To be eternally in union with Him is eternal life in Heaven. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. (Dan. 12:2; Mt. 25:46; Lk. 16:19–31; Jn. 5:25–29)
The church is a community of redeemed people worldwide under the Lordship of Jesus who meet regularly to grow spiritually, worship, receive discipleship, partake of the sacraments, fellowship, and carry out the great commission together. (Mt. 16:17–19; Acts 2:17–18, 42; Eph. 3:14–21; 4:11–16; 1 Tim. 2:11–15)
Once we have accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, baptism is a way for us to publicly declare our new life in Christ. It is also a step of obedience based on God’s commands and allows us to follow the example of Jesus, who submitted Himself to baptism to “fulfill all righteousness.” (Rom. 6:1-6, Matt. 28:19, Acts 2:22-24, 36-41, 8:26-39, Gal. 3:26-29, Col. 2:10-15)
